Most people are going to deny it until the Sahara becomes the ocean! Then again, this is the same reason most people don't buy the crucial insurance... "Oh, no! I don't need to worry! This will never happen to me!" Five months later their smacking their foreheads going "Why did this happen?!"

i don't think it would have made a difference if we listened 10 years ago. most of the damage was already done. even if every majorly contributing company got together to try to figure out how to solve it, they would still not be finished converting all thier waste producing factories to something more "green".
i'm not really too concerned about it myself though, because i'm pretty sure its effects are going to come on really slow and i don't think they'll be overly harsh in my lifetime or even my grandkids'

im thinking the day after tomorrow situation is more likely than all this stuff about florida sinking into the ocean or whatever's gonna happen to me. I was in Chicago a week ago. It was SNOWING. In April. Down here in the sunshine state people complain about how hot it is, but it's been highs of 80s for months now, and at my first track meet I was freezing to death. When I was in kindergarten/grade school I remember it being in the 90s all the time. It snowed in baghdad. China has record lows all over. A Time headline from the 70s is global freezing, what will we do? I do believe that there's a bigger problem than it getting hot. Despite the fact that one group of scientists claims that the apocalyptic ocean thing is gonna happen within our lifetimes. (I'll be in the mountains if you need me.) And individuals can't fix this by being green, the corporations would have to take some profit losses to pull it off, so find some law to sue them with.

Thanks for posting everyone ~
My science teacher says the biggest reasons Of global warming can not be stopped but the small ones that we can make a difference to should have action taken to.

even if we know its happening, we dont have the technology to stop it yet
all we can do is stall the inevitable truth

Let our coming generations deal with this shit ~ ! Haha just kidding.
UK Being a small country our geography teacher informed us the government can power the WHOLE OF ENGLAND with 1% of land to Wind Turbines , even though they are renewable energy resource providers and the wind is free(lollage) , they have a fuck load of cons just as many pros they have.
By the time I grow up to settle down the electricity and gas bill is gonna spears up my ass.

I agree whole hearted about the day after tomorrow thing...I say we perpare fp the worst....It wont be as slow as some of you may think...
Even if we're past the point of no return, we should try and improve our part of this deal. There was so much snow the Rideau River (The place I live near) flooded what used to be a beach site. It got to the point that the water level would have flooded into the nearby University and most of the park area if we didn't have the dike in place.
i dont belive it, it hasnt been proven, and all it is is a myth. The atmosphere is ALWAYS changing since the beginning of time(think ice age). and thats all i think is happening right now. not global warming. Since the begining of time volcanos have been puting more co2 into the atmosphere than a decade of our human activities every time one erupts. the tests that were trying to prove global warming were in Hawaii. and you cant base it off of that, considering the co2 levels are naturally high in those areas.
there are more things proving it wrong than there are things proving it right. this is the global warming hoax archive
but yeah check out that first link, every single peace of information is FACT that is 100% true about global warming being nothing but a hoax.
1. The hottest year on record is 1934, not 1998;
2. The third hottest year on record was 1921, not 2006;
3. Three of the five hottest years on record occurred before 1940; and
4. Six of the top 10 hottest years occurred prior to 90 percent of the growth in greenhouse gas emissions during the last century
(random fact lol)

see this is why i dont like debating with people on this fact, people are soo ignorent, that they flame, when someone says its not real. when they have 100% FACTS to back it up.
hey icy, instead of calling me an idiot.why dont you check out that whole site, read everystory in that link. Instad of not doing research on the whole matter.
also icy, its against the rules of this section to not flame,(so thats why that post is deleted)
fact is, global warming has been proven wrong tons of times. and there are many scientists who also belive its nothing but a hoax. thats why theres tons and tons of information proving that it is wrong. which i provided in that link, and ill show it again
lol is that a good thing? im just saying. What about the ice age? that all melted. and last time i checked we didnt have cars back then lol. it melted naturally. because the atmosphere changes all the time.

so u agree with me then? anyway, i have stated my opinion, and have backed it up. thats all i should post here so im gone. cause personally, i hate this topic with a burning passion. i say, if its real, (which im almost positive its not.) then its best to forget about it and live youre life, with out dwelling on the inevitble. if its not. life goes on which im sure it will

This is where the whole hypocritical crap comes into the equation. Saying that Global Warming is a crock, then people would say to those who don't trust the idea that it'd be like saying that the dodo died of natural causes. I'm starting to understand why people don't trust the whole concept of Global Warming.

Im only saying its a crock because Of all the Hard fact that It is. and i posted the link, here it is lokker, you should read it. http://www.wnho.net/global_warming.htm it has all the facts you need. all evidence that it exists can be canceled out by these true 100% facts
I can't help but hear the evil voice inside my head go, "This is the same type of speech that said aliens are here and the governments are silent." I know this is probably more credible than any government official, but I was raised on the Native concept to Natural Law stating that if you decide to strike out at nature, nature will strike back.

well in the link provides tons of other links, on different global warming topics, its like there are 2 sides of global warming, you got the issue. then you got facts proving the issue wrong, which is pretty much what this site is full of. I used to think global warming was scary, intell i well read into the subject matter and other peoples findings to get my opinion.
I think that in our lifetimes, we are going to witness some of the most violent earthquakes, storms, and such. . .
As the carbon dioxide/monoxide and such emissions accumulate in the atmosphere, it is already starting to melt the polar ice caps and such, and as they melt, and the water level rises, it will affect the North Atlantic current which will change the path of storms and possibly create more natural disasters. . . .
whether anyone likes it or not, this planet is big, but we are exhausting its resources and polluting its atmosphere. . .
and again, volcanos put more than a decade worth of our human admissions everytime 1 erupts since the begining of time. Now i shall leave this topic cause i really hate it lol.
I think this is the next rebirth. If it goes like this, the world will be as if it just came into existence. Storm clouds, lava, and the complete absence of almost all life. Then we'll have to go through the arduous task of getting back to the civilized state we worked so hard to attain.
some of it....a very samll some is true but its made to seem far worse gore is a tard and idk its just wtf global warming uhhh ill walk outside right now its like 30 something in april
