The Long

What can I say? They've created 16 new tracks (some with a similar title), brought out 16 of the best classic ones, and even made a regional AND global ranking system for the best of the best! They've added new items some were brought back and some were given a much-needed revamp. You can actually battle 11 people from, your region, the world, or just with some of your best buds. If you think that's cool, try considering a Battle Mode that can be done online, with 10 battle courses (half new and the other half classic) with the ability to play more than 15 characters, including the addition of Rosalina from SMG! The Wii-Fi option can allow an additional player, making it so that two people can play online! The oddest part of Grand Prix is that you have to conform to certain rules for each engine level, and you may want to get used to using the bike if you want to unlock everything!

The Medium

I have yet to unlock everything and even 50 CC is hard to complete! The control styles are varied to fit those who prefer a certain controller. The addition of using bikes can make it a bit difficult to adjust, but it is well worth the effort when you can do insane tricks and even wheelies! Almost everything is available in single player and Wii-Fi for anyone bragging and wanting to back it up. You don't know how you measure up to the world or just you region? You can download a channel that can tell you!

The Short

Playability 9/10
Graphics 8.5/10 (7.5/10 if you've ever tried looking behind you!)
Skill Level 9.5/10 (I'd have given it a 10 but even 50 CC is getting tough!)
Wii-Fi Quality 10/10 (I've had no problems with it so far)

Overall 9.25/10
PO (Personal Opinion) 9.5/10

id give a four, the graphics on the characters are a little blocky, a little, but there shaded really well. but the graphics in the level designs.. awsome. i love the graphics on that, that and the items. the wheel feels real too, cause its hard to turn at sharp turns wich are all the time.

all in all, theres only 1 thing i dont like...there are now like 3 items that can screw everyone over. bullet bill, lightning, pow block, And pow blocks are the most annoying. and there not rare which pisses me off

using the channel though, you can find a ghost from anywhere in the world who did slightly better than you and then you can race it to keep improving your time.

i really like this game, but it's hard finding a bike that i like, and even harder to get used to the huge variety in control between all the different vehicles. there may be less than the mkds, but there is much more distintion between them.

my biggest (really only) gripe though is that there is WAAYYY to much sling-shotting around. you can go from first to last in the blink of an eye and vice versa. the items are annoyingly potent, especially now that there are more racers to use them.

besides that, it's a near-perfect game and i'm rounding it up to a 5

I agree with the whole item potency issue ; I've been hit with the Blue Shell more than ever with this game.

yeah but it's annoying as hell when trying to do 150cc, there is no possible way to race well and still win. it's all about staying in like 4th or something and getting lucky at the last spot to get items.

competing in gp is the only place that it really gets to me though, it doesn't seem to has as much effect while online, even if there's 12 people racing

yeah 150 pisses me off, how do we expect to get a star ranking in all the wii cups on 150cc? the closest ive made is an A, and in order to get a star you gota get 1st place in every race
