Super Mario 64 vs. Super Mario 64 DS
I just got SM64 DS and I beat it with all 150 stars. The original was my first game ever for the N64 and it is and will be one of my favorite games of all time. I also beat that game with all stars possbile to obtain (120). I was wondering for the people who have played both the original and the remake, what did they think was better. I feel that the original was better IMO because it was one of my first games ever. It took me a long time to get all the stars which made it a fun experience. The remake definately has better graphics, more characters, more stars, and mini games, but I still feel that Super Mario 64 is better. I prefer to play just as Mario, but SM64 DS did a good job utilizing all the characters and giving them each a distinctive roll. The extra 30 stars added in the remake gave the game a little extra replay value, but having already played the original and knowing where all the stars were took some of the fun out of the game. Also, the touch screen showed the location of most of the stars and the red coins which made the game even that much easier. If you've played both, what do you think?
I like the one for the ds, just because it was pretty much the exact same game with the ability to play as wario, luigi, and yoshi, and it was handheld

I liked that it was handheld, but fighting Bowser was tougher without an analog stick.

ds is better. it has a lot more to it. the only thing the n64 one has that ds doesn't is the thing at the beginning where you mess with mario's face. that part was fun

You can mess with Mario's face in the DS version too. If you click mario's or yoshi's head on the main screen, they turn black and white and you can mess around.

In Mario 64, you could only play as Mario.
In 64 DS, you could also play as Wario.
64 DS is obviously better.

I do agree that the N64 is better than the ds. originals turn out to be better than remakes. But the ds version was still a fun game though
On the subject of MGS and MGS:TS, Even though the graphics were improved, and some new moves were added, I thought the original was still better in terms of the challenge. First-Person Mode aiming just made it all too easy. That, and starting with the maximum health available...

Yeah. You can still do it, but your right; it is boring.
