a look back farther: only two months after the game was released, and this forum is completely dead. it was sick within a month. if i'm not mistaken, the criticisms being filed against halo because it was too hyped lasted about a month also..... i'm 3 and 3 vs lokker (should be 3-2, depends on whether or not you count the match where i thought he was telling me not to attack him with his taunts and then he killed me) and i think having 3 wins a piece puts the two of us on top here. come on people, it's dead, lets get these tournaments moving and have a 3 man free for all if we get stuck with an odd number. | ||||

Broken... I'm going to have to tell you to look up what the term hypocritical is.... because... I don't think you know what it really means. Falling into one hype and not another isn't hypocritical. Hypocritical would be if I said Halo sucks and its underserving of its hype yet, you fell into the Halo hype yourself. | ||||

defending broken: no, it's because we were telling him halo sucked because it didn't live up to the hype. but we wouldn't admit that smash bros. sucked for the same reason.
even though i rarely touch the game, i can't bring myself to say it sucks, but it somehow isn't as fun to play as the first 2. I think it's really just because they added subspace emissary and gave us something to "beat", a goal to reach for and then say we were done. the first 2 really didn't have a goal, you just played to play, to completely annihilate everyone. if the online mode was actually competitive and not laggy, i think it would have really canceled that out. |

if nintendo 64 kid was in it it would have been better lol. yeah no leaderboards or even screennames and the old hardware store copper wire and grocery store lemon servers they used at the release of mph being converted to ssbb really hurt the online because bragging rights died. and yes shas, as bkonch said, i meant that while you, and especially YOU, went crazy attacking halo 3 because it didn't live up to the hype, even though it was BETTER than halo 2 which so many people were obsessed with, you (now the forum collectively again) completely bought in to this game's hype, which it didn't live up to, but then didn't launch the same attacks, rather letting it die quietly to honor the gamecube's main selling point of its entire lifespan. and then there's me sitting here like HEY WHERED EVERYBODY GO because we didn't finish one...single....tournament. umm... epic fail? i believe soldier and nomega and company played more halo games than we played brawl. it would be like if you saw a criminal and shot him and said "he deserved it because he was a criminal." and then you saw another criminal that happened to be your friend try to resist arrest and said to the cop "NO DONT SHOOT!!!" that would be hypocritical no? | ||||

um, the halo 3 forum is dead, no one goes to that, this forum isnt dead cause people still play it, even though there arnt any tournaments, you still see people come on here, and discuss about the game. and super smash bros did live up to its hype, its everything it said it was going to be, the only bad thing about the game is its online SUCKS. if it didnt suck, there would be tournaments. if you look we were about to do a tournament, but everyone had shit connections that it wasnt worth it. if i want to get a good working connection with brawl, i have to use a custom setting i made on my router and that screws up the internet browsers in my house, so i cant do it that much. thats how bad brawls online is. I say this to everyone, and everyone agrees, when nintendo comes out with an epic game, its online isnt usually that great, but thats because nintendo really just throws it in there as an extra. With online aside, the gameplay, the multiplayer, the story mode,and all the other shit its got, is MORE than enough to make up with its crappy online. the reason that mph was sooooo great is because it was MADE for online. the story was short and wasnt really good at all and shas attacked halo 3, because he didnt even like the last 2 games. |

YOU'RE ALL JUST COMING HERE TO ARGUE WITH ME ABOUT WHETHER IT'S DEAD. So I win by bringing people back =). I mentioned that i was referring back to other people when i said halo 3 was better than the last 2, and those bad connections are what killed the supposedly not dead game. The bad connections aren't just a farg cousin, they're in normal battles too. seriously whatever. | ||||

wait, are you sayin you get a bad connection in the game when youre not online? or when youre trying to connect with random. cause we all know that sucks too lol.
anyways its not a dead game, lol, people still play it constantly. because its super smash bros, melee never got old and that never had online. But anyways this forum isnt dead cause people still play it, and post, and discuss the game here, halo 3 is dead cause there was only 3 people who played it here to begin with and they stoped playing and or left cause that clan was so small. mph got old, mario kart drifters hasnt really started yet. more people need to get the game. because mario kart wiis online is actually awsome. |

Yeah I guess this is a really popular forum if people can't decide on a name for this place >_>. This forum is dead, but not the way Quietman put it. It's dead in the sense that posts "discussing the game" are nothing more than trying to set up another tourney that will never get off the ground or the topic just vears off completly and it just becomes a chat between 2 people.
see this is why I don't post as often as I used to, belive it or not I actually play more than nintendo games. Either people don't give things a chance first or they automatically think the game will suck with some assed backward explanation about it. That is also why the Halo 3 forum died, it wasn't because the clan was small, but because people were off the bat just being negative about the idea which is a real shame because there is more to experiance then the DS and The Wii in terms of videogames. Granted for the most part our members came from Nsider but goddamn. I'm pro Sony/Microsoft (wow on this guild I hope I don't get linched for saying that) and I'm just going to say that everymember here (including myself on somethings) is biased no matter how hard they try to deniy it. This is my last post on here, this place is just an empty shell of what it used to be. ~Nomega |

I think you put it about as well as I was going to go for. Its really tough when someone doesnt have complete system devotion to a single system. Super Smash bros would have lasted so much longer if awesome games for other systems we're stealing the spotlight. Not long after Brawl came out with its crappy online play, Mario Kart Wii came out and that game is freaking awesome, i bought it and I played it a ton. . .now that game is burnt out for me and im playing GTA4 until an even better game comes out. There isnt anything wrong with a forum dying out. . .we just have to make sure that we get everything out of it possible before something better comes out. Like Nomega and Hunter know, im pretty devoted to Sony. . .which is kinda tough being that I really only play that but I ended up giving in and buying a wii which is starting to be a good investment considering the games they have coming out. But to get back on point, no one should be upset or mad about this considering there is a max of 10 people who visit these forums normally. . . |

ever since metroid went down the drain, the forum has been slowly following it downhill too many arguments happen, almost no one is positive about the success of the forum including me. ill keep coming on here as long as theres a forum to post in don't give up on the site yet its not "dead" its just a lot of the posts are pointless its come too far to just throw aside because theres no major game to have successful tournaments in |
