i think it's a completely different series. they don't look too much alike. i think i'm gonna buy it...
that is if wal-mart isn't still gay by then. i wanted to get dragon blade, dewy's adventure, or zac and wiki... they haven't had any of them.

um.... it was GOING to be 3d advance wars but they broke away from the formula and went with a real-time strategy whole new kind of thing and thus battalion wars 1 was born. did pretty well, INSANELY well considering this was a little-known 3rd party developer, so they decided to make another one, especially since online version on wii was widely demanded as soon as the first came out.

8.5 for solid single player, better controls than old one, especially with adjustable dead zone and a wait/follow option after you tell units to attack (useful for when you left a unit behind to guard something and snapped to it via radar), equal story i guess but it explains a bit more, prologue to the series included, better graphics, and ONLINE MULTIPLAYER OMG!!! The multiplayer is definitely fun and well done, but respawning makes it insanely chaotic sometimes.
