Need a new comp....I didnt know where to put this, so I put it here. I need to get a new comp, and I was thinking a notebook, but I have absolutely no idea what I should buy. I need one to write with(which one cant? :P) but I also need to be able to play a few games on it(I have warcraft 3, starcraft and diablo right now) I really want within the $1200 or under price range, but I am a total noob when it comes to buying comps. Can you guys help me out?

alienwares are expensive as HECK, though.
my desktop PC is a Compaq Presario, the tower cost me only 400 dollars, it has 160 gigs of harddrive space, 520 megs of RAM (soon to be upgrading that), and came with a decent graphics driver (i ripped out the stock driver to put in a sweet ATI X1300), it also has that..uh..cd label printer, where you turn your cd upside down and put it into the disc tray and it prints out a cd label. it's cool as heck.
i can also play just about any game. i play Neverwinter Nights 2, and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and they're HIGH end graphics. so, i think you should be able to git r done with it.
but, hey, that's just my opinion. figure out what ya wanna get. =P

If you build it, you can get it way cheaper than any alienware stock piece of crap.

Meh, not really. Laptops can run games really good if actually look at the specs of one before you buy it. You can get a good gaming laptop 600-900 dollars.

As Jim said, make it yourself, you can make a comp 3 times better then an alien ware for three times less the cost.
