Resident Evil: Deadly SilenceRESIDENT EVIL:
DEADLY SILENCE
Resident Evil Deadly Silence was a much-anticipated title. Many people wondered how the control scheme would work out and how the touch screen would be incorporated into the game play. In my eyes the classic control scheme seemed to work out fine. It’s the same as any RE title excluding RE: 4. Some people will not be happy with that decision, but I think they wanted to bring back that classic RE feeling. This effect plays in the most during a moment when you enter a door only to find 4 zombies on the other side. You don’t have enough time to pull out your gun so you try to run franticly in the other direction only to find your self running into the hoard of undead creatures. Fortunately Capcom thought of this and included a new feature. While walking backwards hit Y to do a quick 180 degrees turn. Another feature only in RE: DS is the touch screen knife fights. They are, I’d say, the best improvement in the game. They add a sense of strategy into the game. I perfectly timed swipe across the screen right before the zombie attacks is a 1 hit KO. The touch screen is also used for a variety of touch screen activities such as spinning a record player, stabbing at dots in between your fingers with a knife, and entering combinations in to a lock. Although the touch screen activities get boring after a while beating the game unlocks the games only mini-game (if you don’t count multiplayer)! It is titled “Masters of Knifing”! A game where you go through series of stages defeating all enemies with nothing but your knife. This is a great addition in my opinion. The game could have improvements but is a game worthy of my list of games. I give this game a rating of 4 out of 5.
This is my first time writing a review so it's abit scetchy.

Despite the real actors and corny phrases in the game, they did a descent job, it has the feel of the classis game and the touch screen was well used because they didnt overyuse it, they spaced it out. The puzzles were fun too . . .
Even though I had a couple things i didnt like abou it, I gave it a 4 for it being a solid game.
