uuuh, actually its the other way around. the elites have a newer system but its actually more reliable, BUT if there is a problem with either thing it doesnt matter, becouse if you get youre free warrenty you could send it in and have em fix it no prob

wait till christmas so you get money, then buy one and make SURE its second generation and therefore safe from red ring of death. the elite and original are equally problematic until the 2nd generation of them gets put out. if you have a 1080p tv and feel rich and lucky MAYBE get the elite, the normal cant go to 1080p but neither can any of the games for it.
