will we have one of those? i mean it is going to be online, and we now know what kind of online play it is and its awsome. so, just about 2 months away, i cant freakin wait, should we make a clan name now or wait a little while.....or if there is a thing like this already, someone tell my cause im too lazy to look for it.

Does it even matter, the people you play can't see who you are or even talk to you so it makes a clan extremely pointless.

Explain to me the point of having a Super Smash Bro's clan if no stats are being kept. No one can see your name, and you can't talk to people.

1. Its only a 2v2 Game, we are not even sure if there is arranged team matches yet.
2. Already said you cant, you can talk to your clan over friends list but not much of anyone else.
3. What reputation if on 90% of the time they can't even tell that your in a clan because your nameless.

Please, just someone tell me how a clan system for brawl will work without it being one big pain in the ass.

in the super smash bros online mode, if you play with friends you can asign short messages to the player, up to 4, and friends can see youre name etc. But not over random wifi, wich kinda sucks, because no one can tell if youre in a clan. also you can see what youre friends are doing over it, so if one of youre friends is playing online, it would say (in battle) then you can wait intell hes done and you can give that friend indication that you want to fight him over nintendo wifi.

also you can have tournaments here, like someone could come on and be all like, who wants to fight and then some members jump on it. basicly the point is to fight with people on the forums instead of a random person online. and usally to get tournaments with other clans one has to go and challenge another clan on another website, wich is why i rarely ever participate in clans, lol i rarly do.

but i know it would be as big as a pain as Metroid prime hunter clan is, and thats not that big of a pain.......lol even though i never really participated in it, i just went in there to talk about that game

Uhh... you just told what the friend system is and how you can use it. But once again, making clan battle arrangements will be hard as hell because first you'll need to look up the clan. Then you'll need to somehow find there friend code, then wait for them to add you. Then fight them. A lot harder then it is worth. Best bet I say would be just find a partner for arranged team 2v2's. A whole clan simply will not work with this game.

youre making it sound alot harder than it really is shas, when i wanted to get some friends for mph it was really really easy, and i had a big list of people on that friends list, and when they exchange friend codes they usually do it right on the spot, because there eager to play as well. you wouldnt think clans for mph would work because its basicly the same principal, except you can see there names. and it does work, the wifi for this game is actually better than mphs, so yeah it can work

this game is going to be BIG, and there will be LOTS of people exchanging friend codes over the internet, it would be hard not to find other clans that want to fight other clans.

but when this forum talks about clans, I really dont think there REAL big clans, because most of the time its just a forum created for a specific game like mph that everyone just posts about the game in there and get friend codes and set up matches, and the occasional (some clan wants to fight our clan) so the wii forums dont get completly over runed with smash bros topics.

ummm....medal of honor heroes 2.....thank you..... call it imperial hunters because half of the world's metroid gamers have probably migrated to that game now. at least half of the good ones. but then again my life is going to be eaten by calculus again starting in 2 or 3 weeks so yeah... i wouldn't even have time for a serious clan.

i have to agree. imperial hunters was alright, but that was mainly because with the tag we became a recognized group and because we were awesome. now we'll probably just be decent with the wealth of psychotic been-playing-this-as-my-only-game-since-2000-and-now-it's-2008 people. that aside there's also the fact that it'll be hard to get any sort of war. of course i'll be getting the game and playing online but a clan is still meh. look for me on MOH:H2 until then.
