Repeat after me... Halo SUCKS.. Only reason people like it is because they haven't played a real FPS just like WoW with MMORPG'S, find a nice game from Epic and all will be fine.

Have you ever played UT? Now I am not denying that it is an alright game. Its campaign has a good storyline but its online play lacks... a lot and its very little ability to mod means you play on the same 8 maps with the same 10 weapons. And there is only basic moves like jump and moving to the sides and a worthless crouching, no real dodging or hiding and the movement of people is slow and requires little skill in weapon accuricy.

Yes, but it is basic and people have a blind obsetion with it and keep saying its the best FPS ever when it doesn't even scratch the surface. I guess I hate more of the blind fanboyism of this game then the game itself. Its decent and fun sometimes but compaired to other FPS's its a Newbies game and rather basic.

Halo's online play sucks worse then Gamespy, same 12 maps and people only play like 4 of them. Truely basic game options online. UT and other games have unique games and the chance for you to make your own... Two examples of this on UT is Invation RPG's and Team Arena.
Besides I am sick of all the fanboys going around saying halo rox! OMFG its halo must be good. For Christ sake unless they drop the entire sceem for the Marines or whatever there called on Halo, Halo Wars will suck, this game can not make a RTS. There will only be two races and only one of them you can actually play! (Or so they say right now) and people still defend it blindly saying it will rock just because it has the word Halo!

true. i like halos campiagn, not its online, i like its online for when im settling down becouse its very slow, but UT, is fun as heck! for 1, its gory, more than 1 map, different types of play, and i LOVE super shock rifle mode, becouse it seems more realistice, (as in die in one hit, i love it)

airight shas, lemme get this straight, you dont like halo because it has too much hype and because YOU CANT MOD IT?!? (which is as annoying as hell lemme tell you). well, dont you think teres a REASON it has so much hype? its because its GOOD! and i aint changin your opinion, but whatever.
(i do have to agree with you on halo wars however, thats gunna SUCK unless bungie actually revolutionizes it which is unlikely)

lol, i have a wager, do you have it for the comp? halo? i bet that shas can beat you in it! he doesnt play it! but i played for a week and he killed me! first try, i bet he can beat you at youre own game!
he doesnt mod, he just doesnt like the muiltiplayer mode becouse its very bad compared to most other games wich i have to agree on 100%

Alright let me try to clear some of my halo flaming and try to write it clearly.
I have little wrong with the game, all I am saying is it isn't the greatest FPS out there, it is really somewhere in the bottem list of the best. Throw out the whole modding this, what I was trying to get acrossed is that Halo has only basic games with few playing possablilitys and less stradigy and skill involved in other FPS's. (Now I am not saying is that there isn't any skill involved) You have only the same seven or eight weapons on the same twelve or thirteen maps which only half of them are actually played on. The modding part comes in as the fact that you are stuck with these maps and players can't make there own maps and weapons like other FPS's like UT2k4. Also I give the campaign a 4 out of 5 stars from what I have seen.
But what I do hate is all this overpublicity with this game and the pure fanboyism surrounding it. The game is a small stepping stone to what other FPS's have, it is a basic FPS opening the way to more advanced ones. There is little specail with this game except its one of the first online FPS series on a gaming system besides computer that doesn't suck and has internet access. For this reason fans of the X-box were swept in and it actually helped the FPS genre advance setting a standered that other FPS's should cross. But now after about three years this game has one large and annoying fan system that blindly holds on to this game and refuses to advance. Anything bad you say about the game is taken in one ear and comes out the other with a furry of verbal insults of fanboys trying to defend the game. One excample is when I was talking about how bad Halo Wars was going to suck and instantly about three guys start to blindly defend a game they know little about except that it is in the halo series. I do not hate halo, I hate its fan base.

granted, for the pc thats extremely true. unfortunately, you just lost cuz i have it for xbox, but honestly, halo 2 is the reason probaably half of the people that have xbox live have it.

Now Montie do not think this is only my views after playing halo on the computer, I have played it other places too. I have played 2 for a total of about 1 day at a friends house and cusins house on X-Box live.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. . .Halo is freaking awesome for parties and lanning em together for massive fun with friends. . .online isnt that bad. . .but its no where near as bad as Shas is making it sound.
Yea there is always going to be other FPSs running parallel to Halo but give the game some credit. . .it is fun and innovative.
