THIS IS THE MOST FUCKING BULL SHIT EVER!Super smash bros does not work! i called nintendo and they said thats because the game is the biggest they ever had, and some wiis dont have a new lazer and wont play it because the game is duel layored and old lazers cant read it! NOW I HAVE TO WAIT A HOLE NOTHER FUCKING WEEK TO GET MY Wii BACK!

YEah! nintendo is AWARE of this problem, according to this website, 9 out of 10 wiis will have the same problem. and when i called them up, they even had that trouble shooting for that specific problem, if you upated youre wii, with mario galaxy, and it doesnt work still, u have to send youre wii in for a lazer upgrade. A HOLE NOTHER WEEK!! DAMn! im mad.

sigh......WELL there is a bright side...
1. i get my wii referbished for free! WOOT!
2. it gets updated, as in the disk reader will be better.
3. ill probably get it back on either thursday or friday which means i have a WHOLE weekend to play it right when i get my system back!
only downfall is i have to wait a little while longer and i cant be in the name tourny.
but ill host it and set it up if you guys want.

Some owners of US copies of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released today, have reported that they're experiencing the same errors when playing the game as were first reported when it was released in Japan. Nintendo of America has announced that those suffering from the problem, which is most likely due to a dirty lens inside the machine, will be able to send their consoles in to be cleaned, and has set up a web page detailing the specifics of the situation.
"Super Smash Bros. Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.)"
Nintendo has also noted that "due to the nature of this particular issue, you should not lose any of your stored data. In some rare cases you may have to re-download your Virtual Console games from the Wii Shop Channel, but there is no cost to doing so."

lol cant, see only a handfull of people had this happen to them. not many people have this problem. someone said 9 out of 10 wiis will, thats not right at all.
BUT the reason i cant lend it to you, is because i actually have to ship that WITH my wii as proof of the problem. its so that they know youre not lying and are trying to get a free cleaning.

This sucks...my luck couldnt be any better than this..im apart of a handfull of people who had this happen to them. Also im sad because ALL my friends have the game and is playing it right now and what am i doin? reading the stragety guide i bought to pass the time in school....Even my friend steven got it! and he has worse luck than this when it comes to the wii, his wii broke 2 times! and now the one time i thought this was gona happen to him too. nope. hes over there playing it...

lol, nope, You didnt Have the high hopes i did when i got it, and was soo siked to finally play it, and when i stick it in my wii it wont work! after about 30 minutes of trouble shooting, internet, and calling up nintendo to find out that i have to send it back, finding out that i have to wait another week. after having the money to play it RIGHT NOW, Im aloud to be pissed.
you dont have the money and thats why you have to wait 2 weeks. I bought it and have to wait a week. im aloud to complain

Im just saying im pissed off and that this is some UNLIKLY shit that happend to me. Im just replying to people who respond. and if you wanted me to shut up you shouldnt have posted here in the first place, that was my LAST bit of steam, i just said that because i just found out that everyone of my friends got the game and has no problem. also i posted this thread because making some people aware of this problem. and most of the post i put up here is when i find out more info on exactly what went wrong.
so go ahead and call me a whiney bitch for saying what...2 posts complaining? when this hole whiny complaining that my 2 small rants have done could have ended if you didnt have to be a jerk.
also in that rant that you replyed too i was sayin i was pissed and you have to be lucky to have this happen to you, because the website that said 9 out of 10 wiis have that problem is bull crap, its actually just a small amount will. both of my rants were tellin people that there is a possible problem but the chances are small. and in those rants i just mentioned i was pissed cause it happend to me. thats all.

hey, i'm actually having a little trouble now too, but i just keep re-inserting the disk and it works eventually...
i guess i just got lucky the first time i put it in... or it could be that my wii is heating up a lot... it's been running nonstop for almost 23 hours :P

lol, no trust me i have to, i did that for awhile, still didnt work.
it doesnt matter though i feel a little better about this because nintendo is expidizing the wii problem, im sending it in tomarow morning, and considering its gona show up there on tuesday, then thats the day they fix it, they will ship it on tuesday so i should either get it wensday or thursday. so if you have the problem they fix it asap

I got the first wii in Western PA soo mine is by far the oldest probably on the forum and its working perfectly fine. . . . .dunno what the big problem is.

ok, ill make the problem a little clearer
its not the lazor, its the LENS. the problem is this is a double layerd disk, because its the BIGGEST wii game ever made. so this game is more sensative to a DIRTY lens, see all my other games work, not this one, because the lens. Newer wiis have a better lens, (according to my bro) when i send my wii in, they will put in a newer lens and clean it. then send it back. and should work
Also Wii FIT is also supposed to have this problem.
