Oh you mean in America? Like Soccer Warhammer is extremely popular in other countrys just not America. But no. but FOOTBALL is a ridiculously fun game that SOCCER in essence got pwned by.
Exactly why Soccer is an Olympic Sport and Football isn't. Thats why 98% of the world play Soccer and only the US plays Football.
You understand Warhammer's MMO isn't out yet, Warhammer is about 100 Books, a Magazine, About 4 Table Top Games, a FPS, and about 6 RTS.
I don't see how a Table Top God has gotten PWNed by a gaming company. Thats like my friend saying that Halo pwns NWN. Your comparing two completely types of games. My arguments are that Warcraft is a video game rip off of what Warhammer is. Your saying that a video game pwns a table top game so Warcraft instantly wins.
I'm going to try to stay away from the 'WAR hasn't came out yet but I know its going to rock reposnce' but I'll say this. Warcrafts PvP is mostly random ganking and imbalanced battlegrounds and arenas where the only true stradigy is get the best gear and zerg your enemy. Warhammers is something called RvR, thats where you have entire servers of people killing each other in an epic push to distroy your enemy. They'll have custom games like Battlegrounds but they're not going to be the only way for you to get PvP in without heading to low level area's and pwn newbs.
I agree, if you need a reason to fight Warcraft is in your range. The way Shas' explained Warhammer fully supports my statement that he's a chaos lover. Quietman doesn't have that type of lust for violence, so he can't completely compare the two games.

Chaos is actually low on my list of Favorite Races.
In Fantasy yea, they're number one. But in 40k they're beaten out by the Tau Empire, then the Eldar (Elves), then the Tyranids (What Zerg are a slight copy off of), Dark Angels (Only Space Marine chapter I like), Imperial Guard, Chaos, Necrons, Dark Eldar, What is left of the Imperiums shit.
Here is something I wrote on a Warhammer 40k Forum a while back about the key points in history in General and a lot of this stuff is rather veg or so generally stated that it's wrong but here you guys go. (Not that you asked for it) And I know none of you would care to read this.
The Horus Heresy-
Now I have not read a lot about it but I can give a general overview.
The Emperor Created Humans stronger then the Space Marines made to lead the chapters, his favorite was Horus. Now the Emperor treated what is now called Primarchs as his sons and loved them all.
An odd thing started to happen to the Space Marine Legions, some started to act strange, soon Space Marine turned on Space Marine, dragged some of the Imperial Guard with them. Horus was titled Warmaster from his father and was to be in control of all the Loyal Space Marine Legions, yet there was jealousy in Horus, he still had the feeling he was the most unloved of all the Emperors Children.(The Primarchs not the Fallow Chapter)
Horus started to change, battle corrupted him, Jealousy raged in him, he gave into the whispers of the Chaos gods, soon he turned on his father and led the Traitor Legions.
In the End, The Emperor won the War, yet he was mortally wounded and to save his life put in a statis tank known as the Golden Throne and Warmaster Horus was Slain. The Rest of the Chaos fled to the spot Slaanesh was born, a hole in the Warp now known as the Eye of Terror.
-The Fall-
The Eldar once were the rulers of the Galaxy, living in peace and excess. But, there were some who used the excess for petty crimes and pleasure, the cult of the Dark Eldar.
Things have a way of twisting in the Warp, the Excess created the fourth and Last Chaos god Slaanesh. Slaanesh ripped open a hole when he was born called The Eye of Terror and he sucked the Souls out of most of the Eldar and their gods. Only a small number of Eldar excaped including the Dark Eldar, and only two gods lived... or better said can live again. Khaine is split into billions of pieces known as Avatars, and The Laughing god,(Forget his real name) hides... pranking Chaos and there gods when he can.
The Eldar then became disciplined and depended on Mighty Farseers to survive and choice the best path to take to make themselves the power of good they once were.
The Dark Eldar, because they refuse to worship Slaanesh even though they're deeds are his domain s/he eats they're souls when they die. In fear the Dark Eldar eat the souls of other races they capture in pirating raids to keep themselves alive, in fear of what Slaanesh will do to them in the after life.
-The Old Ones vs. Necrotyr-
Creation of a shit load of Crap that would be too long for a Sub-title!
In the beginning their was Three Races, The Old Ones, masters of the Warp, they look like Frogs. (Slann from the Warhammer) There was the C'tan formless creatures who eat radiation from Stars. And Last the Necrotyr, a race who lived on a planet close to a Star, because of this they had really short lifespans, Estimated 20 or 30 years for most Gamers.
When the Necrotyr met the old ones for the first time, Jealousy of the Old Ones long nearly infinite natural lives the Necrotyr attacked the Old Ones. The Necrotyr lacking the Technology of the Old Ones were loosing.... pretty bad and pretty fast. That was until their scientists found a creature worth their worship on a star. Their Scientists called for it on their home world and it answered.
Now the C'tan are formless creatures so the Necrotyr Scientists made it a form out of a Living Metal. (the name I forget)
After talking with the C'tan, the Necrotyr talked about their short lives and their loosing War and the C'tan offered the Necrotyr something they couldn't refuse. The C'tan gave them immortal lives with a price that the Necrotyr did not know about. The C'tan made the Necrotyr new bodys out of the same Living metal the Necrotyr made them and trapped them inside it. The C'tan then ate their souls liking the taste of that better then radiation.
On the next battle the Old Ones fought something they didn't expect, the Necrotyr were different, they were now the Necrons. The fighting soon turned, the Old Ones were loosing and fast. In a desperate attempt they made two races new races and told they oldest children the Eldar to flee.(They were created a long time before hand) The Two new races are now known as the Humans and Orks and scattered them around the galaxy. The Humans to Terra or better known as Earth and the Orks... well somewhere...
After a while of Loosing the Old Ones made one last race... the Enslaves..
Now what happened next is unknown by me and poorly written...
The Enslavers turned and killed the Old Ones and what happened later is speculated... many think the Enslavers just died off, the Eldar could have killed them, or the one I believe, they became the Deamons of the Warp.
The Necrons then went to sleep in catacombs thinking the universe was lifeless on worlds known as Tomb Worlds awaiting for Life to come back to the universe.
And a very very very far time ahead
-United we Stand For the Greater Good-
All the way on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy a race entered its hunter gatherer stage in development on the planet T'au. When the Imperium found them they decided the planet would be purfect for expansion and marked it for extermination then colonisation.
A lucky turn of events happened a warp storm and other events stopped the Extermanis.
At this time the Tau (named after the planet) advanced to the age of black powder and their subraces entered war. After long battles the Tau were on the way to extinction. Then a wierd an divine beings come to each race and told them to join together for the greater good. Each subrace joined and became the four castes in the Tau Empire and the Divine Beings became the final leading Caste, they were the Aun, or Ethereals.
Thousands of Years pasted and the Imperium finally got on Task again and tried the Extermanis again this time the fleet was attacked and destroyed by the Tau Empire.
I didn't mean chaos as the race, but as the concept to this game (DR:It seems like it to me).

runescape=turn based=major flaw compared to WoW because it makes it even slower paced. but anyway lol i liked lokker's explanation.

There is a diffrence between WoW copying Warhammer and WoW copying other MMO's. WoW Copying Warhammer is like me making a story about a few shaman kids who go to a university to learn they're art, while they're there they find out about an evil dark magic cult hell bent on taking over the world. You'd all scream that its a copy of Harry Potter, well thats Blizzard literally did with Warcraft to Game Workshops Warhammer.
And Lokkar, your comment about saying in Warhammer you fight for no reason and in Warcraft you do. You actually have it the other way around, they're are hundreds of books explaining in depth about why each race is at war with eachother and why they're at alliances with eachother. In Warcraft basicly everyone randomly declared war on eachother and started battling. (What little fighting there is in Warcraft anyway)
I see what you mean. I never knew much of Warhammer, but I've seen people play it (Damien: *scratches head* If my memory isn't too shitty, another version close to the style would be Starcraft, no?) and it's starting to ring a bell the way you described it. From the knowledge I gather from my sources the boundary lines tend to blur so I never get the full story if I don't play it myself (Damien: I'd rather play Warhammer than Warcraft, and Lokker's normally the pacifist in most games.)
