Only 2-3 weeks until it comes out. A bunch of people were excited about it before so I was wondering if I'm gonna be the only one playing it. *cough advance wars DoR cough*

GREAT GAME. 8.5/10. In terms of fighting games it pwns, the only things that really bug me is it feels like the Create a Soul mode's differences aren't all positive (the old styles have disappeared, although through beating the bonus characters in story/arcade it seems it may be possible to unlock very similar ones. I still want to make an old-fashioned armored knight but all the sword/shield styles seem hopelessly feminine for a guy to use,) and they really didn't feel like making the story what it could have been. 5 stages per character when arcade mode is 8??? ugh. also it's even less detailed than 3, it has gone back in the II direction. I was hoping for full epicness not simplicity. however it certainly wraps everything up nicely, i'll give it that. also beating a character's story gives you the "in search of the mystery* achievement and doing so on hard unlocks a similarly named one. perhaps one must complete the entire game to discover what is truly happening.
graphics: pwn 9.5/10
sound/music: pwn 9/10
gameplay: pwns 9/10
presentation: pretty awesome cutscenes, text based story hurts it though, 9/10.
create a character proportion/voice pitch editors: LOL AWESOME
replay value: online and an amazingly deep game regardless of simplistic endings. tons and tons of items to unlock. pwnage. 9.5/10
story: WHY JAPAN WHY??? WE'VE HAD ENOUGH OF TEXT BASED STORIES!!!! Japan: "Never make Tom Cruise Samurai again. Then we talk. Text me =)" however cutscenes are cool and it does tie it up nicely for series fanatics, also a nice character relationship chart. 8/10 I guess, we'll go on comparison to other fighting games which usually have no story or just pretend to have one. (Dead or alive, street fighter, forever arcady.)
Fun factor: 10/10 if you have people to play it with. You KNOW you like hitting your friends with a giant sword.

im not im not a big fan of fighting games like that the only fighting game i plan to get is UFC 09 but thats not the same

2 is better than 3, period.
It uses 2 gameplay again, 3 was the fast styled gameplay which was cool too, but people prefer the slower style.

How many people here will play either Yoda or Darth Vader? It doesn't matter if you don't want to, though. You could just try the characters out for shits-n'-giggles and still say you played them.

I have it and have beaten story and arcade with yoda, but I don't use him online because I consider him cheap or if used by a skilled player, luck-based. (Depending on the playing style of your opponent they will either be helpless or you will be since yoda is completely close range/lunge style and has difficulty evading vertical attacks. you can always block though, one thing i've noticed about other yoda users is it took them a while to figure that out....)

Yoda is broken is just for fun, He cant be grabbed EVER, he's agile fast and strong and is hard to hit..cool :P.
I must admit yoda is really fun, but I prefer vader.
But Vader is just cool, lol.
Come on grabbing someone and saying 'SUFFFAAAAHHHH' and breathe menacingly while inflicting damage is awesome lol.
I played on my mates 360 w/ yoda and on my PS3 w/ vader I like both but still vader I do like better.

People's grammar is SUFFAHHHHing lol. The ad at the bottom says "IS Mario and Sonic for young kids?" First of all even trying to put doubt about that in someone's mind is stupid, second of all you can't tell if they mean at the olympic games or if grammar aren't for them. Lol and there's a really dumb-worded description in soul calibur somewhere also; I think it's when you're choosing your CaS's weapon style.

hahaha yeah for real. not to mention that it's a new voice actor so it sounds less cool. Siegfried (and obviously nightmare) have new voices too, not sure about nightmare's actor since uh, yeah... but the siegfried guy at least for the most part sounds the same, the new announcer doesn't have the same awesome deep voice. Here's hoping enough parts to COMPLETELY reconstruct the historic siegfried/nightmare characters are released as dlc, right now the old helmets and arms are all we've got.
