Hey everyone, this is my review of "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" from nintendo. This is specifically for the Wii version because I have not played the Gamecube version. Well, let me start with the story.

The Legend of Zelda
Publisher: Nintendo
Genre: adventure
Rated T

Story:
You start the game in Ordon village, a peaceful little town that really doesn't have anything exciting going on. You are link, a young goat herder that helps manage a goat ranch. After a pretty basic tutorial, and some fights, you find yourself in the Twilight realm. But not everything is normal; you have turned into a wolf! You are now in a dungeon, and this is where you meet and impish creature named Midna, who is alot like this games Navi. She basically gives you what's going on, and now it is up to you to figure how to stop the world from being consumed by twilight.

Graphics:
Ok, so everyone knows that there is no difference between the Wii version and Gamecube version when it comes to graphics, but that does not stop it from looking amazing! The characters look very nice, better than any Zelda game to date(obviously). Even though the facial expressions are not as advanced as say the Xbox 360, I think they did a really good job showing emotion through the character's facial features, especially the eyes. Believe it or not, there is one thing in this game that looks better than the characters, and it's the environments. The environments are very detailed, and look very nice. The atmosphere in the environments is very nice. For example, if you are in a water-type dungeon, there can be fog, and it actually "feels" like you are in a water dungeon.

Gameplay:
Now, this is why most of my friends and I bought the Wii version of this game; the gameplay. I believe this is the thing that made my game experience great, it is so fun! From swinging your sword to shooting your bow, you will have fun doing this. Best of all, it is simple and easy to get the hang of. To swing your sword, you flick your Wii remote, easy enough? But you can also do different moves like stabs. My favorite part is using the bow. You equip it, and the screens goes to a first person mode. You point your Wii remote at the screen, and push B to fire. If this isn't sounding great, you will have to try it out yourself because it is awesome. Now the only thing I found annoying about this aspect was when you equip the items. Most of the time your cursor isn't on the screen, and it pops up with a message "Point the Wii remote at the screen." I know it isn't that bad, but it is pretty obvious that you would have to do that. But that aside, it is great. Now my favorite part of the Zelda series has always been the dungeons, and this certainly isn't missing in this game. The first few dungeons are pretty easy if you have followed the series for awhile. But if you are new to the games, then it will present some challenges. The dungeons play almost identical to those of Ocarina of Time. Collect keys, open doors, solve puzzles, and fight the boss. Basic, but better than ever. And with the fact that there are 9 dungeons, this is one long game. There are also a ton of side quests you can do, making the replay value excellent.

Sound:
The sound of Ocarina of Time was my favorite aspect of that game, but I cannot say the same for Twilight Princess. Now don't get me wrong, it isn't horrible, it is just that alot of the tracks are forgettable. Now it does have alot of good track like the Goron domain remix, and a Kakariko woods remix. Even though the music has it's downsides, the other sounds in the game are good. As you would expect, Link does his usual sounds when he attacks, and they are as sweet as ever. Ok, now I do have ONE major problem, and that is with the howling sequences. I CANNOT stand them! They butchered awesome songs with howling that you can barely make out the difference in pitch. I literally have to turn the volume down at these parts. Now this shouldn't take away from the gameplay, and it doesn't, but they could have improved on some things.

Bottom line:
Graphics: 4/5
Gameplay:5/5
Sound:3/5
Overall: 4.5/5

The good: Great graphics, amazing gameplay, and dungeons are awesome.

The bad: Some tracks are forgettable, wolf howling sequences are horrible.

So overall, this game is amazing. It is a must have for any Wii owner, even if you aren't into adventure games. At first I was afraid this game was over hyped, but that isn't the case. This game delivers in more ways then one, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

4.5/5 Amazing!

i actually heard the music and it probably was the best zelda music so far, or at least it beat the gbc and gba games.

There's one in Castle Town (near Telma's) and the last one will appear at the lake as a mini-boss.
